What is VR?

Virtual Reality (VR) is the use of computer technology to create a simulated environment. Unlike traditional user interfaces, VR places the user inside an experience. Instead of viewing a screen in front of them, users are immersed and able to interact with 3D worlds.

Why should I come experience VR?

The short answer? Because it’s fun. The long answer? VRKADE lets you interact with another world. You could be pulling back the string of a bow or be looking down the scope of a rifle. You could be commanding an army at your feet or holding a heavy golf club. As limitless as your options are in reality you will have many more in virtual reality. We are here to provide you with the newest and best in the virtual world.

What do you mean the 'The Best Virtual Reality'?

We will always strive to be on the cutting edge once it comes to hardware and experiences. It will cost far less to play with us than to keep up with all the current hardware and experiences on your own.

Why should I come to VRKADE? Can't I buy my own system?

We would love for you to own your own system! The advantage of using our service is the speed at which new equipment and experiences come out. To keep up with that on your own will cost far more than spending 5-10 hours a month at VRKADE.

What is your return policy?

If you don't play, you don't pay. Full refund if you don't play.

How do I book a time?

Just like buying tickets for a movie! All bookings at VRKADE are done in advance either through our online booking system, over the phone, send us a FB message, or in store using the following steps: Tell us the number of people attending. Pick your preferred time slot. Complete your payment – that’s it!

How many friends can I bring?

This is dependant upon location. All locations can accommodate 10 or more people. For larger groups please call to ensure booking!

How much before my appointment should I be there?

We recommend arriving 10 - 15 minutes before your booked appointment to sign our Waiver, get set-up, and choose your experience. Our friendly teams will be there to assist you every step of the way.

Do I have to book ahead at VRKADE or can I just walk in?

You can come in anytime but we cannot guarantee the spaces will be available. To ensure you get to play, please book ahead!

What games do you have?

At VRKADE we are constantly adding experiences to our system’s library. For a full list of the experiences we offer, please visit the experiences library tab in the top right hand corner!

Can I play my own games?

Feel Free! If you have your own Steam account with your own library of VR games, then you’re more than welcome to sign into your personal account and play! Just remember that the more time you spend logging in, the less time you’ll have to play!

There is a game I want to play but you don't have it. Will you add it for me?

We’re always looking to expand our Experiences Library with the latest new content! If you have a suggestion for a experience you want to see at VRKADE, please let us know! If you happen to own a game that’s missing from the Games Library, don’t hesitate to ask to log into your own Steam account and play!

Do I have to play alone, or can I play with friends?

VR is a social experience and as such we highly recommend to enjoy this with a group of friends or your family! During your visit, your group is connected in a chat as well as able to connect in our multiplayer games where you will be able to see one another and interact with each other.

How do I pick my experience, and do I have to decide before I arrive?

At VRKADE we book your experience by the hour. During this time you have access to three main options, VR Experience Bays, VR Escape Rooms, and VR Combat Arena.

1) VR Experience Bays provides you access to our entire game library and you are able to switch back and forth between multi and single-player games. Our friendly team is there to assist and make the right recommendations for you and your group.

2) VR Escape Rooms, during this time you get one hour to solve your chosen escape room experience, if you and your group finish early, you are welcome to enjoy the remaining time of your hour in our regular game library.

3) VR Combat Arena is only available at select locations and the world's most advanced Laser Tag experience. In this free roam scenario you do not have to worry about cables or stations you and your friends enjoy exciting rounds in a free-roaming adventure.

Demos?

Be careful! Once you’ve tried it you won’t want to stop. If we have a unit available when you stop by, we are more than willing to give you a complimentary 5 minute experience.

Age limit?

There is no age limit but we highly recommend the player knows how to read. Normally this is age 6-7. If they cannot read please come in on a weekday so we can focus more time on your child! For the arena, the age limit is 8.

Glasses?

Absolutely! Our headsets are designed to be usable while wearing eyeglasses. We do recommend contacts if possible though.

Cost?

$25 - $30 an Hour plus GST per person depending on the location and day of the week.

What is the age range?

Our age range is 7 - 14 years.

What do the kids do all day?

Our Camps are designed to be educational and fun camps. Each day tackles a different subject, and the day is structured with educational time where we teach the subject with virtual reality experiences, videos, worksheets, arts and crafts projects, and fun games. We also allow our campers some free play time multiple times a day, where they can access our regular virtual reality games.

What is the duration of the camps?

Our camps are designed to be full-day experiences, Monday through Friday. The campers get dropped off between 8:00 AM - 8:30 AM and picked up between 4:30 PM and 5:30 PM. Exceptions can be made in some cases, please contact your camp counsellor team directly.

Are all the weeks the same?

No! We offer multiple different weeks with different subjects. Check out our summer camp page for more information.

Can kids attend multiple weeks?

Yes, we are able to have kids attend multiple weeks of camp.

Are there discounts?

We offer discounts on multiple kids signed up from the same household as well as a discount for a multi-week sign-up. We also offer the occasional early bird deal or discount, sign up for our mailing list to get access to those exclusive deals when they come up.

What is the cost, and what is included?

Our camps are full-day camps that included refreshments, snacks, arts and crafts projects, and prizes at the end of the week for all participants. Some locations may offer lunch packages as well, please check with your locations camp counsellor team. The cost range from $350 - $495 plus GST for full weeks.
